Medical Peels, what are they?
A “peel” facial can refresh your skin, improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin pigment changes, and improve the tone and texture of your skin. Peels also improve collagen deposition and skin elasticity.
There are many different compounds/options for chemical peels on the market, Dr. Lindsay prefers to use ones that are customized based on the patient’s skin sensitivity and skin tone.
Level 1 Uplift:
This is the lightest level of chemical peel and will typically have the least amount of downtime after the treatment. This option is appropriate for first-time chemical peel patients or patients with mild skin imperfections. This level also works well for patients that are looking for brighter, more radiant skin with no downtime.
Level 2 Invigorate:
This is a medium/moderate intensity chemical peel and is appropriate for patients with mild-to-moderate skin imperfections that result from skin aging and sun exposure. Examples of this include fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and texture. Invigorate treatments also address uneven skin tone that can be caused by acne scarring or other pigmentary changes. Downtime for moderate skin peeling can last up to 7-10 days.

Level 3 Revitalize:
This level of chemical peel is appropriate for patients with moderate to severe skin imperfections that result from aging and sun exposure as well as fine lines and wrinkles. It also works very well for uneven skin tone and texture. Revitalize skin peels will also treat uneven skin caused by acne scarring or pigmentary changes.
The degree of peeling may vary depending on the individual’s skin condition and the degree of the damage. Peeling can range from mild flaking to peeling in sheets and last up to 7-10 days.
